Carrier Account Manager
Client SuccessRemote (United States)ContractRemote
Our dispatch and billing desks sit in Amman. Our clients are owner-operators and fleet owners across the United States. This role is the bridge: a US-based account manager who knows what a bad week looks like for a carrier and can say so internally in time for us to fix it.
This is a contract engagement to begin with, roughly 20 to 30 hours a week, with an honest path to something permanent as the book grows.
What you'll do
- Own the relationship for a group of carrier clients from the onboarding call onward
- Run onboarding properly: equipment, lanes, rate floors, preferred brokers, paperwork habits, and what the owner actually wants from us
- Make sure the Amman dispatch and billing teams know each account's specifics rather than learning them by mistake
- Hold regular check-ins where you review the numbers together, revenue per mile, empty miles, invoice turnaround, and answer for them honestly
- Carry problems back to the desks quickly and follow them until they close
- Recognize when a growing fleet needs a service it is not buying yet, and say so without turning the call into a pitch
- Give us early warning when an account is unhappy, since a cancellation is almost never a surprise to the person closest to it
- Ask satisfied clients for a referral or a case study at the right moment
What you need
- Based in the United States
- Two or more years in trucking, freight brokerage, or logistics account management
- Direct experience talking with carriers and owner-operators, who know within a minute whether the person on the phone understands their business
- Ability to read operational numbers and explain them plainly to an owner who is driving while you talk
- Willingness to take occasional calls that overlap Amman hours, scheduled with you rather than around you
- Your own reliable phone and internet setup
Nice to have
- Time spent at a carrier, a 3PL, or a dispatch service
- Familiarity with dispatch software and load boards
- Experience keeping accounts through a rough stretch rather than only during good months
What we offer
- Contract terms and hours agreed up front and honored
- A defined book rather than an open-ended list of accounts
- Direct access to the people doing the work, not a ticket queue
- First consideration for a permanent role as the US side grows
