Dispatcher Trainee, US Freight
Most of our dispatchers did not come from trucking. They came from call centers, customer support, and sales floors, and learned freight here. This is that route, run properly instead of by handing you a phone and hoping.
The program is paid from day one and runs six weeks at our Amman office.
How the six weeks run
- Weeks 1 and 2. How American trucking actually works: brokers, shippers, carriers, equipment types, what a rate confirmation is, how drivers are paid, and why a driver's remaining hours matter more than the map.
- Weeks 3 and 4. You sit beside a working dispatcher on live calls. Listening first, then taking calls yourself with them next to you. You will get your first difficult call in this stretch.
- Weeks 5 and 6. A small book of trucks under close supervision, with a senior dispatcher reviewing every load you book.
We tell you honestly in week 4 whether we intend to offer you a desk. Finish the program and perform, and you move onto a full-time dispatcher role.
What you'll learn to do
- Take a load from a board, check the rate against the lane, and explain why it is worth booking
- Speak with American drivers on the phone with confidence
- Read an hours of service clock and plan around it
- Write notes another dispatcher can pick up mid-thread
- Handle a cancellation without losing the day
What you need
- Spoken English good enough for a phone call with an American driver, which is the one requirement we do not bend on
- Willingness to work a schedule set by US clock hours rather than Jordanian ones
- Composure, since your first angry call arrives around week 3
- Basic computer skills and the curiosity to ask why a load was priced the way it was
- Sunday through Thursday availability, on site in Amman
No degree required. No logistics experience required. If you have worked a phone-heavy job before, mention it.
Nice to have
- Call center, customer support, or sales floor experience
- Any exposure to logistics, shipping, or freight
- Arabic and English both fluent

What we ask you to be honest about
This work is real, and some shifts are hard. Trucks break down, docks close early, brokers argue, and a driver who has been awake for 10 hours is not always polite. If that sounds like a problem, this is not the right program for you, and we would both rather know now.
